About us

The Royal Swedish Ballet School is a school with approximately 160 students in grades 4-9 and grades 1-3 in the Vocational Dance Program at the upper secondary school. The school is the only combined Junior- and Upper Secondary School in Sweden with an integrated vocational dance education. Here you will meet committed students whose days are alternated with lessons in academic subjects, classical ballet and contemporary dance. The students are our priority and the focus is to integrate dance, music and academics in a holistic manner.

Our beautiful premises are located in the Münchenbryggeriet on Söder Mälarstrand. The Royal Swedish Ballet School educates aspiring dance artists from grade 4 of Junior School through Upper Secondary School. The education includes both classical and contemporary techniques and forms of expression and aims to make students employable for national and international dance and ballet companies. The education aims to provide a high level of artistic immersion in scenic performance and to explore the body's ability for different expressions.
